Bitcoin Pizza Day: A Monumental Milestone for Crypto
On May 22nd 2010, two pizzas were purchased for 10 000 BTC. This marked a monumental day for crypto as it was the first recorded purchase using cryptocurrency. To celebrate this milestone in crypto history, Binance is hosting global meet-ups and online activities to commemorate Bitcoin Pizza Day.
Global Celebrations For Bitcoin Pizza Day
The celebration begins in Naples, Italy on May 21st with 500 users getting free “Binance style” pizza and drinks at a local event. There will be takeovers in ten other countries including Brazil, Bahrain, Pakistan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Uruguay, Mexico, Argentina and New Zealand. Participants can win swag by taking part in fun activities or by sharing their Bniance themed pizzas on social media with #BinacePizza hashtag.
